The Monster in D.C. Isn’t The Man – It’s the Power Behind Him

Are you terrified of what Donald Trump is doing? You should be. But don’t make the mistake of thinking this is just about one man. You can hate Trump. You can rage against his tweets, his rallies, his orange face and his iron grip—but if you’re only angry at Trump, you’re missing the real threat. The real monster isn’t in Mar-a-Lago—it’s in Washington, D.C.

Trump is just a symptom. A grotesque symptom of a much deeper disease: centralized, unchecked federal power. And unless we treat the disease, it won’t matter if it’s Trump or DeSantis or Newsom or AOC or whoever wears the crown next. The weapon of tyranny is already forged. And they all want to wield it.

As a libertarian, I’m not going to lie to you. I can’t vote this away for you. I can’t sign a petition or write a stern op-ed that will stop the gears of this monstrous machine. But I want to help you. I want to give you the tools to resist. I want to rip the gears out of that machine before it crushes more of your liberty under its boots.

Let me remind you of something terrifying: It’s not just Trump. It’s the presidency. It’s the alphabet agencies. It’s the unelected bureaucrats. It’s the militarized IRS, the surveillance-happy NSA, the jackbooted FBI. This entire federal system is rigged to dominate you. You are not a citizen to them. You are a subject.

If it’s not Trump today, it’ll be someone else tomorrow. Someone worse. Someone smarter. Someone who doesn’t tweet his plans for tyranny—someone who hides them in executive orders, regulatory rules, and tax code fine print. If you think voting harder is going to stop that, you’re already in their trap.

The only way to end Trump’s power—and anyone else’s—is to tear the power away from D.C. altogether. The presidency should never be something to fear. No human being should have the power to wreck your life with the stroke of a pen. The fact that we fear who sits in the Oval Office should be a wake-up call: the throne is the problem.

We must dismantle this federal Leviathan. Not reform it. Not “work within it.” Not pass a few “common-sense” limits. Cut it. Slash it. Shrink it until it can’t hurt you anymore. Until no tyrant, red or blue, can aim its weapons at you.

You want to be free? Then we have to destroy their ability to control you. That means taking power out of Washington and returning it to your state, your community, your home, your hands.

Let’s stop pretending we can trust the next guy to “do the right thing.” Let’s stop gambling our freedoms on who gets to be the next Emperor of America. Can we agree—finally—that no one should have that power?

The federal government is the loaded gun pointed at your head. Trump just picked it up. The only real safety is disarming it—permanently.

Will you help pull the plug?

Would you like a more extreme version or a toned-down version next?

How about joining the libertarian movement? How about stopping this game of back-and-forth between the two parties that control your every move? Libertarians do not want to control you! Do you finally understand? I hope so. Because I really want to help you! Help the libertarian movement help you!

FOR LIBERTY!!!
