SOS! Shadows Of Sovereignty: Bidenomics

Shadows Of Sovereignty
Within Bidenomics are promises of individual freedom that, with closer inspection, actually reveal themselves as shadows of sovereignty. Where ‘independence’ is purchased by taxpayer-funded government borrowing. These shadows are an illusion that mask the increasing sovereignty of the federal government over individual liberty and choice.
Federalism suffers another blow in this smoking mirrors game of thrones. Central control wins! Such is the grift of socialist plans. Like Marx, Biden promises freedom and independence. All we need is more of what he calls, ‘investment’. If you’re paying attention, you’ve learned that when politicians have their hands on our money ‘investment’ is how they justify handing our own money back to us through our economy and laundering through their donors via law. Bidenomics is the latest iteration of the theft.
When politicians wax their eloquent doublespeak, their words don new meaning. For instance, the word ‘investment’ is just an euphemism for throwing more debt spending at the masses with lots and lots of strings and mandates attached. The benign becomes malignant and the lies become truth. Peace becomes strife. Then, The Party is all that matters. But I digress!
Biden and his cohorts know this. They know that your sovereignty and independence cannot be purchased by government. So they have to mislead. We can all be God or Jesus or King with trillions of dollars to waste on enforcing morals. But, again, I digress!
Now back to Biden, what is paramount in his mind is his political power and glory. His sovereignty and his party’s sovereignty over you is all that matters. And he’s willing to sacrifice your sovereignty, just like Karl Marx was content to do. Just a means to an end that will never come. Biden and his enablers will be dead and gone when the bill comes due upon our kids and grandkids.
Perhaps it’s with good intentions.

“The road to tyranny is often paved with good intentions.” – Milton Friedman

“Beware of the person who believes in the inherent goodness of power and the righteousness of their own intentions.” – Friedrich Hayek

“The greatest threats to liberty are often those who believe they are acting in the best interests of society.” – Alexis de Tocquevill

“The more power a government has, the more prone it is to abuse that power, even if the intentions were initially good.” – Ron Paul

“The real danger is not the presence of evil, but the presumption of good intentions in those with unchecked power.” – Thomas Sowell

“The most dangerous men are those who believe they are morally superior and entitled to wield power over others.” – Ayn Rand
Enough with my diagnosis. Let’s get into this infirmary. What is Bidenomics? It’s a command and control economic prescription for a new socialist mastermind plan. And it seems the President of the United States is very proud of this nomenclature. Here is what the mastermind himself describes it as:

A Bing search about Bidenomics:
- ‘Bidenomics is the term used to describe the economic policies and vision of President Joe Biden. According to the White House, Bidenomics has three key principles:
- Making public investments in America: This includes spending on infrastructure, clean energy, semiconductors, research and development, education, health care, and social programs. The goal is to create jobs, boost productivity, enhance competitiveness, and reduce inequality. Some of the major legislative proposals that fall under this principle are the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, and the CHIPS Act.
- Growing the economy from the middle out and the bottom up: This means focusing on the well-being and prosperity of the middle class and the working class, rather than relying on the trickle-down effect of tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. The idea is that when the middle class and the working class have more income and opportunities, they will spend more, invest more, and drive economic growth for everyone. Some of the measures that fall under this principle are the American Rescue Plan, which provided stimulus checks, unemployment benefits, child tax credits, and other relief to millions of Americans; the Build Back Better Plan, which aims to expand access to affordable child care, health care, education, and clean energy; and the Made in America Tax Plan, which seeks to raise taxes on corporations and wealthy individuals to pay for public investments.
- Ensuring that everyone pays their fair share: This means cracking down on tax evasion, closing loopholes, eliminating subsidies, and enforcing a fair and progressive tax system. The goal is to make sure that the wealthy and large corporations contribute more to the public good, rather than benefiting from tax breaks and offshore havens. Some of the initiatives that fall under this principle are the American Families Plan Tax Compliance Agenda, which proposes to increase funding and resources for the IRS to audit high-income taxpayers and businesses; the Stop Tax Haven Abuse Act, which aims to prevent corporations from shifting profits and jobs overseas; and the 15% minimum tax on book income, which would ensure that profitable corporations pay at least some federal income tax regardless of their deductions and credits.‘
According to the White House, the three major bills that are part of Bidenomics are:
- The American Rescue Plan, which was passed in March 2021 and provided $1.9 trillion in relief and stimulus to help the country recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which was passed in November 2021 and authorized $1.2 trillion in spending over 10 years on roads, bridges, broadband, water systems, clean energy, and other infrastructure projects.
- The Build Back Better Plan, which is still pending in Congress and proposes $1.75 trillion in spending over 10 years on social programs, health care, education, child care, climate action, and tax reforms.
Adding up these three bills, this spending of Bidenomics would be about $4.85 trillion over 10 years, or about $485 billion per year on average.

The pause on federal student loan repayments from September to December 2022 cost $20 billion.
The Libertarian Take
Bidenomics, from a libertarian standpoint, appears to be a grand spectacle of government intrusion into the economic stage. It’s like a heavy-handed conductor wielding a baton of regulation and excessive spending, drowning out the delicate melody of individual freedom. The overture of expansive social programs and hefty infrastructure investments might garner applause from some, but those who value limited government and personal responsibility can’t help but cringe at the looming budgetary dissonance and potential inflation crescendo. In this economic tragedy, the virtuosity of free markets takes a back seat, leaving many libertarians longing for a more harmonious tune of self-reliance and reduced state intervention.
It’s a libertarian nightmare with shadows of sovereignty!
Shadows of Sovereignty: Unveiling the Socialism Prophecy
In the realm of words, prophetic and wise,
I conjure verses, a vision that lies.
Socialism’s grasp, a tale foreseen,
Beware the shadows, the control unseen.
A system born of noble intent,
Equality sought, the people content.
Yet power corrupts, its lure immense,
Socialism’s control, a gradual descent.
The seeds of collectivism, sown with care,
Individual liberties, stripped threadbare.
The promise of fairness, a tempting facade,
But freedom erodes, as control grows broad.
In the name of equality, choices constrained,
Innovation stifled, ambition restrained.
The fruits of labor, shared in equal plight,
Yet motivation fades, dimming the light.
The state, an arbiter, deciding one’s fate,
Redistribution deemed as just and great.
But incentives vanish, the drive disappears,
As Socialism’s grip tightens, instilling fears.
Beware, oh citizens, the path you tread,
For Socialism’s allure, like a web widespread.
Protect liberty’s flame, let it brightly ignite,
Lest the prophecy’s verses become our plight.
In the realm of words, prophetic and wise,
I conjure verses, a vision that lies.
Socialism’s grasp, a tale foreseen,
Beware the shadows, the control unseen.
As red flags rise, an ideology unfolds,
The promise of equality, or so it’s told.
Yet power’s allure, a treacherous snare,
Socialism’s control, a weight we must bear.
Through veils of collectivism, freedoms fade,
Individual liberties, in shadows, they wade.
The state’s steady hand, reaching far and wide,
A web of control, where freedoms subside.
In the name of equity, choices constrained,
Innovation stifled, ambition restrained.
The fruits of labor, distributed in kind,
But incentive withers, stifling mankind.
Beware, oh seekers, the path we tread,
For Socialism’s embrace, a path to dread.
Guard liberty’s flame, let it brightly ignite,
Resist the prophecy’s call, reclaiming our right.
